The Special Assignment Unit Tanto was developed for a great friend and team leader on Phoenix SAU or SWAT. A strong, simple, heavy use, and very low profile design to flank a leg holster was called for. We chose a 12th century tanto tip, with a particularly American drop point design. The breaking pommel is hardened and polished for efficient breaking of tempered glass. The heavy blood groove tied everything together for a wicked looking assaulter’s knife for the 21st century.
