CRKT Attaboy 5410
Search By Category
Light as a feather, sharp as a talon. Built to handle whatever the day throws at you, the Attaboy puts everything you need from an everyday carry into an ultra-compact folding knife that weighs just 3.5 ounces. Whether on the job or out exploring the backcountry, it won’t slow you down.
Incorporating designer Flavio Ikoma’s eponymous IKBS ball-bearing pivot system and Ken Onion’s Assisted Opening, the Attaboy glides open quickly and smoothly. The 2.7-inch drop-point blade is made of D2 steel for superb edge retention, while Deadbolt, another Ikoma innovation, holds it safely in place when deployed. Despite the small proportions, the knife offers a strong and secure grip that feels natural in the hand. The hybrid front flipper ensures the blade’s entire cutting edge is available to use without interference, while the choil lets you choke the blade for maximum control.
Built to spend the whole day at your side, the Attaboy uses a glass-reinforced nylon handle that helps it reach its featherweight status. It measures less than 4 inches long when closed and the deep-carry clip lets it ride low in your pocket, where it comfortably fades into the background until it’s needed. Now that’s a job well done.
How Assisted Opening Works
It's held securely closed in your pocket, but initiates the deployment, and partway through the rotation, the blade opens at an impressive speed for a simple, powerful, one-handed opening.
How Deadbolt Works
Steel bolts interlock with the blade when it’s deployed to yield outrageous strength. A prominent button sits at the pivot point for simple, intuitive disengagement without fingers crossing the path of the blade. It's ingenious, safe, and reliable, what more could you ask for?
About Flavio Ikoma
Some kids dream of being a ballplayer. Flavio wanted to be a knifemaker. In his adolescence, he worked on knives of the Japanese sword variety in his father's shop. He has gone on to learn metallurgy, to work with Ken Onion, and to become a force for innovation. Flavio brought to market the revolutionary IKBS ball bearing pivot system (with Rick Lala), and evolved the classic locking liner with the ILS safety, exclusively available from CRKT in the No Time Off knives.
