The fire striker steel has a matching handle and an Auermetall ferro-rod that consistently gives an even shower of sparks, regardless of weather.
Sturdy welted sheath in vegetable-tanned European leather with a draining hole.
14 cm blade in premium A8 Mod steel that holds an edge well even during very hard use such as wood splitting.

This enhances the performance of the steel at a molecular level and in practical terms, gives the blade more wear resistance and is less prone to chipping compared to a blade with the same hardness that was not cryogenically quenched
